Mill

Buying in bulk and milling your own grains at home is an easy way to save money come brew day. Here is a simple mill I built based on one I saw here.

To build, you will need:
Corona Grain Mill
5 Gallon Bucket
Piece of wood
Saw
Drill
Screws

First, cut the piece of wood to the contour of the inside of the bucket and attach the mill using the clamp. Position the mill and wood inside the bucket so that the top of the mill where the hopper attaches is just above the top of the bucket. Measure where the shank of the mill is on the bucket and drill a small hole for it to stick out of.

Next, attach the block of wood to the bucket using screws, making sure the shank is out of the hole and the top of the mill sticks out just a little.  Cut a hole in the lid so the top of the mill sticks out of the top of the buck and attache the hopper.

To increase the size of the hopper, I used a 5 gallon water jug. Simply cut off the bottom of the jug and invert it into the stock hopper.  Now attache a drill to the shank of the mill and you're all set to mill your grains!
